Our hostel is located on the island of Kungsholmen (meaning “Island of King”) right near the Stockholm Central Station and within the very easy reach of the famous Stockholm sights.

One of the best options to explore the city is to start exactly from Kungsholmen that is rich in tourist facilities, cafes, bars, parks and for summer – best beaches in Stockholm. We would advise to visit the City Hall where the famous Nobel Prize is annually awarded. It is located on Kungsholmen just a few minutes away from the hostel and the City Hall’s tower offers an amazing view on Stockholm.

Also from the City Hall you can take the Historical Canal Tour. The tour starts at City Hall and takes you around the Kungsholmen along with the historically interesting islands of Långholmen and Reimersholme. A ship will carry you through narrow canals, shorelines and many interesting buildings. It is a perfect opportunity to learn all about the city history and its development from early to modern times.

Cross the bridge right near the City Hall and you will get into the Gamla Stan – Old Town of Stockholm. It is where the city was founded and you will be driven away by the magic of its narrow streets and old buildings preserved from the medieval times. Also the Riddarholmen Church – the oldest building in Stockholm (built around 1275) is located there.

The famous island of Djurgarden with its amazing Park Gröna Lund and some of the most famous museums like Vasa Museum, Skansen and ABBA Museum is located within no longer than half an hour from our hostel.

If you are visiting Stockholm in summer don’t miss the beautiful beaches with swimming facilities right in the center of Stockholm within the maximum 15 minutes distance from the hostel. The two most famous are Smedsuddsbadet, next to Rålambshov Park and the Fredhällsbadet which is a rocky one and offers much opportunities for picturesque landscaping photos.

Cross the Rålambshov Park to get to the southern shore of Kungsholmen on Norr Mälarstrand, overlooking Lake Mälaren. To the right, you can see the bridge Västerbron, with its large arches. Across the lake you find the heights of Södermalm and the Högalid church.

We also recommend stepping into some restaurants located just a few minutes from Lodge32. They are not very clustered as in other areas of Stockholm and there are some places really worth recommending. For example ‘Allmäna Galleriet’ (AG) for excellent meat, ‘El Diablo’ for Latin-European fusion, ‘Spisa hos Helena’ for regular Swedish food, ‘Mäster Anders’ for Swedish/French classic bistro food, ‘Olé Olé’ for tapas and many others.

We wish you a wonderful time in Stockholm and many pleasant memories about your stay.
